Dr. Thakkar has been delivering warm, patient-centered care at Golden Rule Family Practice since September 2011
Drawing on years of experience within larger healthcare systems, Dr. Thakkar recognizes that most patients appreciate seeing the same physician whenever they need care. By transitioning to a smaller practice, he can focus on truly personalized medicine—free from the constraints that often come with bigger organizations. He firmly believes that in a more intimate setting, he can build stronger doctor-patient relationships and provide higher-quality care. Patients also benefit from shorter wait times for follow-up appointments, avoiding the lengthy scheduling bottlenecks common in large networks.
Dr. Thakkar commenced his medical career in India and brings 25+ years of extensive experience across diverse healthcare settings in the United States, including major hospitals and geriatric facilities. Throughout his journey, he became convinced that individualized attention in smaller practices leads to better patient outcomes. Guided by this philosophy, he established a practice where patients always come first. He also encourages patients to learn about their health conditions and actively participate in choosing from the available treatment options, empowering them to take charge of their well-being.
Dr. Thakkar is fluent in English, Gujarati and Hindi. His professional accomplishments are:
